Self-Contained Student Accommodation

Bristol Road, Birmingham
Self-Contained Student Accommodation

A new development of self-contained student accommodations, located a stone's throw from the University of Birmingham.

Initially a full demolition of existing buildings in situ to ground level, followed by the full build and fit-out of a multilevel prestigious new student accommodation block, each of the units is self-contained and the building is served by common areas, a lift from ground floor to all upper floors and outside social space. The accommodation units are arranged over 4 floors, with the ground floor being given over for retail purposes.

The contract involves working extremely closely with the investors and architects to realise the design and vision of the artists impression of the finished building.

Although still in progress, this project is nearing conclusion with the building on programme for being water tight by mid-April 2019. For Handover in August 2019. These accommodations are already being marketed for occupation for the new intake for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Particular challenges have been encountered on this site due to its location and proximity to adjacent dwellings and commercial premises; all of which have and continue to be managed sensitively.
